Sciton® HALO™

The Sciton® HALO™ incorporates the latest advancements in laser therapy—enabling, for the first time, the use of two different laser wavelengths in the same area. Typically, only a single treatment session is required.

Laser wrinkle treatment is one of the most advanced methods in anti-aging medicine. Laser treatment effectively addresses unwanted wrinkles, unsightly scars, and a tired complexion.

Laser beams are electromagnetic waves with high energy. Depending on the penetration depth, they act on the upper, middle, or deep layers of the skin. There, they stimulate collagen production and cell growth. The result is firmer skin. Even for enlarged pores and so-called barcode wrinkles, laser treatment can achieve highly satisfying results.

Laser treatment with Sciton® HALO™ – Safe, fast, and effective

Sciton® Inc. was founded in 1997 in Palo Alto, California. For over 20 years, Sciton® has been a leader in laser and light technology for medical-aesthetic purposes. As a result, laser treatment has become a standard in medical cosmetics and non-surgical facial rejuvenation.

Sciton® HALO™ is the world’s first fractional hybrid laser. It combines a diode laser and an erbium:YAG laser. With utmost precision, the impulses from both lasers are independently controlled.

A fractional laser such as the Sciton® HALO™ applies the laser light in a grid, rather than over a surface. This grid pattern creates pinpoint micro-injuries, leaving the surrounding tissue intact.

These needle-like injuries stimulate collagen production. Collagen production is responsible for skin tightening and improved skin quality. The laser only treats a fraction of the skin, while the body’s self-healing mechanisms are equally activated. The skin is renewed from within, allowing the area treated to heal much more quickly.

Sciton® HALO™ – Innovative technology for impressive results

The erbium:YAG laser is especially suitable for treating superficial fine lines and visibly enlarged pores in depths of 20 to 100 micrometer of the skin. Due to their low heat generation, erbium:YAG lasers are especially gentle on the upper skin layers.

An erbium:YAG laser puts significantly less stress on the surrounding tissue than the frequently used CO2 lasers, such as Fraxel®. The body’s natural self-healing powers replace the ablated tissue with new, fresh cells. The result: painless application, faster wound healing, and shorter downtime.

The diode laser of the Sciton® HALO™ targets the lower skin cells with an adjustable penetration depth of 250 to 700 micrometer, stimulating collagen production and effectively combating sun damage, signs of aging, and scars. Pronounced wrinkles are smoothed, and smaller lines can disappear completely.

The HALO™ Technology

The combination of different wavelengths gives the Sciton® HALO™ outstanding flexibility. Depending on the desired treatment, the diode and erbium:YAG lasers can be used separately or simultaneously to always achieve the best result. Additional innovations make Sciton® HALO™ particularly safe and precise to use.

Dynamic Thermal Optimization (DTO) and optical navigation

Depending on the temperature of the skin surface, the strength of each laser pulse is continuously regulated. An integrated cooling system ensures a particularly gentle and painless treatment. The software-assisted optical navigation of the Sciton® HALO™ scans the surface of the treatment area several hundred times per second. This guarantees the safety of the treatment at every moment.

ABP – Adjustable Beam Placement

For the optimal treatment of sharply defined areas, such as scars, the size of the fractional laser beam can be adjusted. The Sciton® HALO™ is the world’s first fractional hybrid laser to combine these advantages and make them available for non-surgical facial rejuvenation.

The result of this new, individualized wrinkle treatment is gentle application, faster healing, a noticeable tightening effect—and skin that looks elastic, radiant, and youthful again.
