The Benefits Compared to CO2 Laser Treatment

The Sciton® JOULE™ is an Erbium-YAG laser. Due to their relatively low heat production, lasers of this type are highly suitable for controlled and particularly gentle cosmetic treatment of the skin’s upper layers. The lower thermal effect of the Erbium-YAG laser puts significantly less strain on surrounding tissue compared to others, such as Fraxel®. Unlike CO2 lasers, which are often used for similar purposes, the result is much faster wound healing. Besides reduced downtime, the procedure is also typically less painful.

ProFractional-XC™ – Fractional Laser Treatment

The principle of a fractional laser is to divide the laser light into many small beams rather than treating the surface area all at once. This pinpoint, needle-like laser application creates tiny micro-injuries while keeping the surrounding tissue intact. These micro-injuries stimulate collagen production for firmer, higher-quality skin. While only a fraction of the skin is treated, the self-healing powers of the body are equally activated. The treated area thus heals significantly faster.

FAQ – Laser Wrinkle Treatment

To achieve optimal results, every laser wrinkle treatment is preceded by a detailed analysis of your skin, so that method and intensity are tailored to your needs. Treatment is performed on an outpatient basis at our Peyman Bamdad practice. First, a numbing cream is applied, which needs about an hour to take effect. If required, additional pain medication is given. The laser procedure itself takes about 15 to 45 minutes, depending on the treated area.
In the days following a laser treatment, it is important to regularly cool the treated areas and avoid physical strain. For one week, apply a wound ointment several times daily, and afterward protect your face with strong sunscreen for at least six weeks. A check-up appointment, including detailed photo documentation, will take place 21 and 42 days after each session. Sun, sauna, and sports should be avoided for up to 2 weeks, depending on the treatment.
A NanoLaserPeel™ gently removes the top skin layers, targeting fine lines or excess pigmentation, and leads to a noticeable improvement in skin texture. It has the least penetration depth of all laser peels (under 10 micrometer) and is comparable in intensity to microdermabrasion. Your skin will look fresher, with a beautiful radiance and tone. After a NanoLaserPeel™, you will be able to resume your usual activities shortly.
A MicroLaserPeel™ is a facial laser treatment with a penetration depth of 10 to 50 micrometer. It is suitable for treating fine lines, smoothing deeper wrinkles, and for conditions such as excessive pigmentation, age spots, and sun-damaged skin. By removing the upper skin layers, the body’s own collagen production and cell growth are stimulated, and old tissue is replaced with fresh new cells. The result is radiant, youthful-looking skin.
A laser facial treatment performed at highest intensity is also known as a laser facelift. Unlike a facelift by the High‐SMAS method, it is not a surgical procedure. The goal is to address moderate and deep wrinkles, and the sagging of skin and subcutaneous tissue in the forehead, cheeks, mouth, and chin area. Laser treatments are also ideal for pigmentation spots, rosacea, and acne scars. You can expect visibly tighter, smoother skin and an overall rejuvenated appearance.
Depending on the intensity, treated areas may be swollen and very red for one to two days, and wound fluid may occur. This is completely harmless. Much rarer side effects include pigmentation disorders, persistent redness, and inflammation. When performed by an experienced specialist in plastic and aesthetic surgery, laser wrinkle treatment is considered very low risk and is well tolerated in most cases.
