Tummy Tuck

The scar from an abdominoplasty is located in what is known as the bikini zone on the lower abdomen. The length of the scar depends on the extent of the tightening performed and is typically between 25 and 30 cm.

With a large abdominoplasty, the navel is repositioned and reshaped. With a minor tightening, the position of the navel remains unchanged.

In many cases, simultaneous liposuction on the abdomen, torso, and hips is recommended to achieve a truly satisfying aesthetic result.

Generally, wound drains are removed after four to five days. If fluid accumulates under the wound after removal, this will be aspirated on an outpatient basis without pain.

If non-absorbable sutures are used, they are removed after two to three weeks.

A tummy tuck is performed on an inpatient basis with a hospital stay of three to four days.

After a tummy tuck, you should wear a custom-fitted compression garment for six weeks. It is recommended to rest during this time and avoid sun, sauna, physical strain, and sports.

Of course, pregnancy is still possible after a tummy tuck. It should, however, be planned at least one year later. A tummy tuck after childbirth is best considered after six to twelve months.

Stretch marks are often located on the lower abdomen. These marks will be removed as part of the tightening.
