However, as we age, the lips lose volume and become increasingly thin. This process can be counteracted. Lip filler is a cosmetic procedure that can significantly rejuvenate the mouth area and, therefore, the entire face. With a lip injection, it is also possible to achieve more even lip shape, sharper contours, and smoother lip skin.
Every lip augmentation in our Berlin clinic is preceded by a thorough and individual analysis to achieve a natural-looking and aesthetic result. The upper and lower lips can be divided into so-called aesthetic units, which must be taken into account during the injection. If, for example, the ratio between the lower lip and the always slimmer upper lip is not considered, “duck lips” or a beak-shaped result may occur. The transition from white lip to red lip should be gently curved. Below the groove between the upper lip edge and the nose, the philtrum is followed by the cupid’s bow and, centrally in the upper lip, a small tubercle, which in turn is mirrored by an indentation in the lower lip. The procedure takes between 15 and 30 minutes and is performed on an outpatient basis and under local anesthesia at Praxis Peyman Bamdad.
