Anyone who keeps the ability to see beauty will never grow old.

Gynecomastia refers to a visibly enlarged male breast.
While the gynecomastia that is appears during puberty usually resolves on its own, this is not the case with enlargements caused by other factors. Gynecomastia is usually triggered by a hormonal imbalance, certain medications, or the abuse of anabolic steroids. Rarely, malignant diseases can also enlarge the male breast, so before any correction, hormone status should be checked and an ultrasound performed to rule out these causes.
Surgical correction of gynecomastia can be performed under general or local anesthesia depending on the extent of enlargement. The procedure typically lasts around 60 to 90 minutes and can be combined with liposuction. Recurrence of gynecomastia after surgery is rare.
It is important to distinguish true gynecomastia from so-called pseudogynecomastia or lipomastia, which is caused by fat deposits due to excess body weight. Pseudogynecomastia should first be addressed by dietary changes. Alternatively, surgical removal via liposuction followed by skin tightening is possible.
