Brow Lift

Aesthetically, women’s eyebrows should run six to eight millimeters above the bony ridge, with the outer third arched and higher. Men’s brows should be horizontal, without an arch, and on the bony edge.

There are two methods to lift the eyebrows. The direct method is done under local anesthesia with an incision along the brow hairline. The indirect method is performed under general or twilight anesthesia. The incision is concealed in the scalp. The brows are loosened and lifted by tunnel dissection.

After a direct brow lift, the scar runs almost invisibly along the brow hairline. With the indirect method, the scar is hidden in the hairline.

Stitches are removed from the fifth day after the procedure.

It is important to cool the operated area with breaks and avoid physical strain for a few days. Sunlight, sauna, and sports should be avoided for two weeks.

A direct brow lift is performed under local anesthesia in the operating room at Peyman Bamdad’s practice. An indirect brow lift takes place under general or twilight anesthesia at a clinic and can be outpatient or inpatient.
